Sash Windows
CATEGORY: Sash Windows Counters DATE: January 2021 LOCATION: Walworth, London

Design
Due to the heritage of the building the architects specified traditional sash windows for the street facing façade therefore restoring the traditional appearance on the street. The cottage style houses also share a communal courtyard to the rear for which the client preferred modern casement windows.
Manufacturing
All 124 double glazed windows were prefabricated including all ironmongery such as sash fasteners, sash stops and gaskets. Once complete they were primed and painted in our workshop.

Install
The windows were delivered to site for fitting by our team of installers, all windows were numbered which corresponded to an opening in one of several buildings. The windows were slotted into the existing structure and secured in place.
The result
The building was sand blasted to reveal the brickwork detail and the sash windows helped restore the heritage building back to its former self as a piece of Walworth history.
